Peacefully in Lanark Lodge at Perth, Ontario on Thursday, August 15, 2002. Margaret Ruth Foster, in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Allan Stead. Loving mother of Leona Kimberley of Mississauga, Allan of Perth, Ronald (Shirley) of Brockville, Harlan (Bernadette) of Perth, Floyd (Marion) of Brockville and Lemond (Sharon) of Smiths Falls. Survived by 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her daughters-in-law Ruth Stead and Edmonda "Aidy". Predeceased by her sons Eldon, Eric, Billy and son-in-law Cliff, granddaughter Cynthia Ruth and grandson Derek Jordan. Special thanks to Jane Webster and the staff at Lanark Lodge for their special care, love and devotion through all these years. Friends may call at the ALAN R. BARKER FUNERAL HOME 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment United Cemeteries, Carleton Place.
