Ruby Mae MARTELL

(Martell) Peacefully at Central Park Lodge, Toronto, on Tuesday, August 20, 2002, in her 93rd year. Loving wife of the late Vernon N. Longtin. She is survived by her sister Ruth Maxwell; her nephew, Robert Maxwell (Christine); her grandniece and nephew, Andra and Ian Maxwell; her stepgrandchildren Francois de Saint Marie and Christiane de Saint Marie McDonnell and their children. Ruby was the daughter of the late Julius and Helen Martell of Iberville, Quebec, and sister of the late Floyd and Julius Martell. Over the years she resided in Saint Jean, Montreal, Ottawa and finally Toronto. She began a long business career in the electrical manufacturing industry in 1926 and proudly retired in her 78th year. Over the years she worked for the Cable Conduits & Fittings Ltd., Iberville Fittings Ltd. and Longtin Conduits Inc., much of that time alongside her husband. Many thanks to the staff at Central Park Lodge and Central Health Services for their wonderful care. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa.
