(nee Armstrong) At the Ottawa Hospital-Civic Campus on Friday, August 23, 2002 in her 79th year. Viola is the beloved wife and best friend of Bruce for 56 years. Loving and beloved mother of Judy of Ottawa, Bruce (Bonnie) and Joan (John) of Calgary and Gloria of Montreal. Dear sister of Mary Headrick (Jim) of White Lake. Dearly loved grandmother of nine grandchildren: Stephanie and Jennifer of Ottawa, Reid, Robert and Taylor of Calgary, Hope (James) of Lethbridge, Matthew, Christopher and Robert of Montreal. The family is very thankful for the wonderful care and compassion of Dr. E. Belanger and Dr. R. Tee and the nursing staff on the Neurosurgical 7th Floor at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Private funeral and interment was held at Pinecrest Cemetery on Monday, August 26, 2002. Donations in memory of Viola can be made to the Parkinson's Society of Ottawa-Carleton.
