At Shardon Manor, Smiths Falls, on Saturday, August 24, 2002, Gertrude (Lavigne) McDiarmid in 72nd year. Loved sister of Joe Lavigne of Ottawa and Jackie Riley of Smiths Falls. Predeceased by brothers Napoleon, Roger, Gerald, Daniel, Raymond, Jack and Ray Lavigne and sisters Doris Larmond and Beatrice Dawson. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Tuesday, August 27th at 9:30 a.m. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Carleton Place.
