(nee Bouchie) Peacefully in the Pontiac Reception Centre, Shawville, Quebec, on Monday, September 9, 2002, in her 74th year, Lillian Farrell, beloved wife of the late Fred Farrell. She was a loving mother and is sadly missed by her children Connie (Stephen) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, William better known in Shawville as Bill (Wanda) of Westerose, Alberta and Betsy (John) of Shawville, Quebec. She is survived also by a sister Betty ("Jig") Richard of Canso, Nova Scotia and predeceased by brother Charles, and sisters Joan (Alfred) Martell and Shirley. She will be fondly remembered by other especially close family, namely: in-laws Betty & Wilbour Sparling, Eleanor & Luke Rajotte, Alice (predeceased Bill) Farrell and Alfred Martell; nieces and nephews Anne & Richard Armitage, Peter & Brenda Sparling and Bev & Allan Watson; grandchildren Tanya & Shane Ranahan, Allison Hitz and Kurt Hitz. Many other family friends, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will also remember her well. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 26, 1930, the beloved eldest daughter of the late William and Florence, she grew up spending much time on the "Eastern Shore", sure to be the first one in the freezing Atlantic waters the beginning of May, long before her birthday! She enjoyed many years in her adopted Pontiac home, hard at work proudly sharing much laughter at Pontiac Community Hospital with her many co-worker/friends. The Family will be pleased to visit and share stories with friends at W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre St., Shawville, Quebec, on Thursday, September 12, 2002 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, September 13, at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel with Interment alongside her husband Fred following immediately at Starks Corners' Cemetery.
