After a lengthy illness at the Dundas Manor, Winchester, on September 12, 2002, at the age of 78. Survived by sister Stella Casselman and sister-in-law Francis Allen. Predeceased by parents William and Margaret Allen and brothers Frank (the late Florence) and Tom (Francis), and sisters Marie (the late Albert Knight), Helen (the late Herman Coons), and Gladys. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Eva was a former employee of Government House. Friends paid their respects at the Chesterville Funeral Home, 62 Queen St., Chesterville, on Friday, September 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. A service will take place on Saturday, September 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Chesterville. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In Eva's memory, donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital or the Dundas Manor would be appreciated by the family.
