Retired C.W.A.C. Member of Royal Canadian Legion Upper Rideau, Branch #542 Unexpectedly at Kingston General Hospital, early Thursday, September 12, 2002, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of William W.B. Monkman of 58 years. Dearly loved mother of W.E. Jay (Terry) Monkman; Joan L. (Doug) Sawchuk and Janet (Murray) Mitchell. Dearly missed by her grandchildren Todd, Tracy and Jennifer Monkman, Tyson and Cindy Sawchuk, Stacy and Brent Mitchell. She was a proud great grandmother of 4. Predeceased by her brother Emerson Gilmour. She will be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Sunday, September 15, 2002 at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive (Waterloo Village) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Our Chapel.
