1914 - 2002 Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, in hospital on Saturday, September 14, 2002, Lionel Shane of Pendleton, Ontario in his 88th year, beloved husband of Isabel Shane for 65 years. Loving father of Lorna (late George McFall), Joyce (Don Brownrigg), Gail (Jim Pankow), Dale (Diane Jolicoeur), Helen (James McWilliams), Bonnie (Norm Rivington), Kerry (Koreen Lavigne) and Colleen (Willard Hayes). Cherished grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers: Lloyd, Ulric, Gilbert and sister, Eunice Brasseur. Will be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Verna Shane, Dorothy Shane, Pat and Dorcas Gunning; many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends may call at Lamarre & Son Funeral Home, 453 St. Philippe Street, Alfred, Ontario on Tuesday, September 17, 2002 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 18th from 9 a.m. Eucharistic Celebration to be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Divine Love Church, Pendleton. Interment Parish Cemetery. The family sincerely thanks Rachel Langlois and staff of the Villa St. Luc, Curran, Ontario for their excellent care and compassion, as well as the staff of the Montfort Hospital.
