Dolores Leona ORAZEK

Peacefully with her children at her side, Lorie died at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Thursday, September 19, 2002. Lorie was born December 17, 1923 to the late David and Cecilia Orazek. She was the loving and treasured wife of the late Jack Carere. Cherished mother of Frank and Barbara Carere, Paul and Jennifer Carere, Nancy and Ralph Hogue, Jane Carere, Mary Lou and Barry Linkert, Christine and Gerry Beelen and James and Nathalie Carere. Lorie's grandchildren will always remember the love and special attention she gave to each of them - Sarah, Julia, Megan Carere; Christian, Alana, Jonathan, Jordan Carere; Ashley, Erin, Tyler Hogue; Angela, Emily Linkert; Jocelyne, Madeleine, Luke Beelen and Shawn, Alexandre, Olivia Carere. Lorie will be missed by her brother Robert Orazek, and her sister Marjorie and brother-in-law Jack Bendig. She is also loved by her sisters-in-law, Catherine and husband Don Thomson and Caterina Carere and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother's wife Rita Orazek and Jack's sister Rachel, brothers Fred, Tom, Edward, Cosmo and Joseph and sisters-in-law Germaine and Natalina. Visitation will take place at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, on Saturday, September 21 from 7 - 9 pm and Sunday from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Parish prayers will be offered on Sunday evening in the funeral home at 8:45 pm. Prior to the funeral Mass, prayers will be said on Monday, September 23 at 10:15 am at the funeral home. Transfer will then be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Waterloo for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Reception to follow Mass in the church hall followed by interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mel Cescon, Dr. Donna Ward and Dr. Bob Stevens for their care and compassion.
