Retired Teacher-OSSB and CSSB After a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, Georgette Velma Gault (nee Lalonde) age 70, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, September 19, 2002 surrounded by her 4 daughters Gail (David Gall), Cathy (Brian Pratt), Susie (Joe Myatt) and Carol Ann (Mark Kenny). Welcoming her home are her husband Johnnie (Fred), her grandson Hugh, her parents and her sister Bernadette Dube. Cherishing her memory are her grandchildren Nikki, Andrew, Corey, Kyle, Cassandra, Josh, Morgan, Olivia, Andrea (Marvin Effa), her brothers and sisters Gertrude Desnoyers, Beatrice (Andy Peters), Margaret (Dwayne Rutley), Leo (Lillian), Des (Joan), Doreen McKellar, Norman (Marion), their families and her many wonderful friends. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 3000 Woodroffe Avenue (south of Fallowfield Road) Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday to St. Leonard's Church, Manotick for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 a.m. Entombment Capital Memorial Gardens. We are very grateful to all her VON nurses, especially Linda Tolstoy and Cathy Langtry for the respect and care given to Mom and the kindness and support shown to us. We thank God for Noreen, Jacquie and Edith who took over Mom's care and allowed us to just be her daughters again. Special thanks to Dr. M. Farncombe, Caroline and Eileen, Dr. S. Whitley and Penny Sisson and the Gynecological-Oncology team at the General Hospital. Donations to the VON, Palliative Care Outreach or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre appreciated.
