Peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2002, at the age of 79. Born in St. John, N.B., on August 26, 1923. A man of many interests and much enthusiasm. Thomas had a zealous passion for flying. After an internship as a communication specialist in WWII, Thomas went on to pursue a career which married his interests in communication and aviation. An air traffic controller, first in Moncton, N.B. and then on to Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents Thomas J. McCarthy and Mary Anne Graham. Thomas will be greatly missed by his wife Marjorie, children Brenda, Lynn (Wally), John (Helen), Susan, Stephen and Heather, and dear grandchildren Stephen and Elizabeth. He will also be missed by Rena and Ronnie of St. John, N.B. Special thanks of appreciation to all the staff at the Hospice at Maycourt. A private service for family will be held to celebrate his life. A Memorial Service for friends will be held at a later date. Donations graciously accepted to Hospice at Maycourt.
