(Kanata Fire Department, Retired) It is with sadness yet gentle relief that we announce the death of Kevin, surrounded by his family, at the Ottawa General Hospital, Monday, September 23, 2002. Beloved husband and best friend of Debi. Proud and loving father of Paula, Rhonda and Patrick. Devoted poppa to "Mickey" Mickaela Beggs. Son of the late Celsus and Lillian Kavanagh. Survived by his sisters Marian (Ken Kirkham) and Marilyn (Bryan Brown). Fondly remembered by Kathleen Duffy, Kim (Dave Currie), Olive Dobbie, Tim Kavanagh, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, firefighter brothers, the trucking community and close friends. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata, Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. A Mass in Memory will be held Friday, September 27, 2002 at St. Philip's Church, Richmond at 2 p.m. followed by an Irish celebration. Special thanks for all the great care by the fifth floor BMT Ward staff. Donations in Kevin's memory to Holy Spirit Church Fund or the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Little Angel's Fund appreciated.
