(nee Wilkins) (Sapper with the 2 Combat Engineering Regiment). Suddenly as the result of a training accident on Monday, September 23, 2002 at CFB Petawawa. Mariebeth Wilkins of Petawawa, at the age of 22 years. Beloved daughter of Virginia Hicks (nee Gregson) and her husband Brian of CFB Halifax, Nova Scotia and Bill Wilkins and his wife Anna of CFB Borden. Loved sister to Christopher and his wife Ingrid, David and his son Timothy, Valarie, Bill Jr., Brian and Jonathon. Loving granddaughter to Jim and Joan Gregson of Trenton, Ted and Mary Wilkins of Kinmount and great-granddaughter of Helen Austin of Trenton. Sadly remembered and missed by Master Corporal Tim McCormick. Mariebeth will be greatly missed by her many friends and extended family at 2 Combat Engineer Regiment. Family will receive friends at the Weaver Family Funeral Home, West Chapel, 170 Dundas Street West, Trenton on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A full military service will be held in the King Street United Church, King Street, Trenton on Friday, September 27, 2002 at 2 p.m. Rev. Buchanan, Padre Horne and Padre Nelson officiating. Interment Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
