WWII Veteran Service Corp. Retired Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Served with NATO in Europe and UN on the Gaza Strip. Member of Cobourg Legion #133 and Renfrew Legion. Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Landmark, Cobourg on Saturday, September 28, 2002, in his 86th year. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Joyce of 59 years. Loved father of Valerie and her husband Ron Splaine of Bolton, Wayne and his wife Yvonne of Cobourg, twin daughters Lea Seeley of Rockwood, and Lynn and her husband Jim Tye of Rockwood. Loved Granddad of Andrew and his wife Teresa, Jason and Deana, Lincoln Seeley and his wife Guylaine of Whitehorse, and Tanya Splaine of Calgary. Great-granddad to Ludwig Seeley and Justin Brydges. Beloved brother of Muriel Fraser. Predeceased by siblings Sidney, Boyd, twin sisters Grace and Pat. Sadly missed by many nephews and nieces. A Funeral Service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg, on Tuesday, October 1st at 2 p.m. Interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery. Visitation to be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Those wishing may make a memorial contribution by cheque to the Alzheimers Society. The Ottawa Citizen, 30-09-2002
