(nee Plunkett) Peacefully in hospital on Wednesday October 9, 2002, Mary Celestine Prouse of Ottawa and Farrellton, PQ, age 87. Beloved wife of the late Robert Kitchener Prouse. Dear mother of Susan (Manny) Montsion, Rob (Eleanor) Prouse, and Kathy (Garry) McDougall. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Nancy, Susan and Pamela, Nicole, and Jean, Angela, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Great grandmother of Chris, Emma and Matthew. Dear sister of Norbert (Grace), Carmel and Connor. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Catherine, brother Frank, and granddaughter Karen. She was a special education teacher at Heron Park and Arch St. schools until her retirement in 1979 and will be fondly remembered by the many students to whom she devoted her tireless energy and exceptional skills. Past president and current member of the local chapter of the Retired Teachers of Ontario, and devoted a great deal of her time to various committees in her condominium building. To celebrate Celestine's life friends may visit the Central Chapel of Hulse Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. Ottawa, on Monday October 14, 2002 from 1pm until service time in the Chapel at 2pm. Cremation has taken place and interment in the family plot at Farrellton will occur at a later date.
