Peacefully in hospital, surrounded by his family on October 11, 2002 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Pierrette LaRose. Cherished father of Ken (Gail), Cosette Chafe, Nancy (Dan Benko) and Sue (Rick Cloherty). Loving Grampie of Stephanie, Alison, Christian, Alexandra and Michaela. Dear brother of Bonner, Hector, Raymond (Ruth) and Yvonne (Derwood Drew). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Ste-Genevieve Church (Arch Street at Canterbury). A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus Intensive Care Unit, 1053 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON.
