(nee Armstrong) Peacefully in her sleep on October 19, 2002, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Major C.E. Slack (1944) and of the late Dr. A.S. Crummey (1981). Loving mother of Patricia Friedrich (Frank) and stepmother of Arthur Crummey Jr. Survived by her sisters Helen McRostie and Doris Muir. Predeceased by her sisters Pearl Ison, Alma Voran, Audrey Mann and Evelyn Green, and by her brother Garnet (Pat) Armstrong. Also predeceased by her grandson Daniel Friedrich. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Pamela Charette (Francois), Jennifer McCrimmon (Phillip), Matthew Friedrich (Elaine), and Joshua White-Crummey, also by her great-grandchildren Scott, Kerry and Hannah McCrimmon and Sebastian, Magnus, Raphael and Chloe Charette, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave on Tuesday, October 22 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at 2 p.m. Special thanks to the compassionate caregivers at Forest Hill Nursing Home where she resided since June 2001, and to the kind staff at Thornecliffe Place Retirement Home, where she lived for some years.
