Peacefully at St. Patrick's Home on Tuesday, October 22, 2002, in her 90th year. Mildred Lillian Purcell, beloved wife for 53 years of the late Perley J. Cole. Dearly loved mother of Carol (Frank Hare) and Neil (Joy Denison); loved Nan to her four grandchildren, Christopher Hare, Kim (Tim Kirk), Janice (the late Roy Head) and Lori Ann (David Kelly). Also survived by great grandchildren, Allen and Kaitlin Kirk, Jordan and Sydney Head, Michaela Kelly. Last surviving child of the late Ellen (Castle) and Samuel Purcell. Predeceased by her three sisters, Ada, Beatrice Ryan, Edith Riopelle and her eight brothers, Charles, Samuel, Edrick, Gordon, Howard, Ernest, Leonard and Roy. Mildred will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Saturday, October 26, 2002 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and then at the Chapel of St. Patrick's Home, 2865 Riverside Drive on Monday, October 28th after 10:45 a.m. until the Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 11:15 a.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.
