(Retired Capt. Nepean Fire Dept.) On Thursday October 24, 2002, Heinz Stenzel, of Stittsville, after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 69. Cherished husband of Annemarie (nee Trabandt). Dear father of Gisela (deceased), Ursela Allen, of Dunvegan, and Deborah Stenzel, of Ottawa. Loving Opa of Christopher and Kenneth Allen. Predeceased by brother Siegfried and sister Brigitta Sauer of Germany. Survived by sisters Ursula Gallas and Christa Peters of Germany. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Friends may call at Tubman Funeral Homes Valley Chapel, 115 Rivington St. Carp, on Tuesday October 29th from 1 to 3 p.m. A memorial service will take place in the chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hospice at Maycourt would be appreciated. Many thanks to Dr. Chow and the staff of the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their outstanding care.
