Suddenly at home in Niagara Falls on 27 October 2002 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of 25 years of Kathleen (Pat) Rickwood. Dearly loved father of Roger and wife Denise of Ottawa and Patty and husband Gary of St. Thomas. Predeceased by his first wife Tish Rickwood in 1975. Loving stepfather of Joan and husband Skip of Niagara Falls, Kathy and husband David of Oakville and the late Patti of Las Vegas. He will be greatly missed by grandchildren James, Rose, David and Ryan, step-grandchildren Bob, Tracy, Meredith, Matthew and Kelly, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Survived by sisters Hazel of Monterey, California, Carly, Joy and husband Ivan, brother Andy and wife Shirley, all of St. Thomas. Major Russell Rickwood (Ret'd) served 35 years in the RCAF and was a member of the RCAFA 468 Wing and of Legion Branch 51. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Elmvale Cemetery, St. Thomas on 9 November 2002 at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
