(nee Merkley) At the Winchester District Hospital, on Monday, October 28, 2002 in her 85th year. Loving wife of the late William Thomas Forward. Olive was born in Chesterville on January 2, 1918 to Enos Merkley and Ella Mae Allison. Dear mother of Thomas (Barbara) and Robert (Elaine) of Chesterville. Survived by grandchildren Ryan, Jason, Rebecka and Vincent and by sister Juanita Munro of Chesterville. Predeceased by sisters Francis Merkley, Lois Young and Doris Merkley. Member of the UCW, Chesterville and lifelong member of the Womens' Institute. Resting at the Chesterville Funeral Home, 62 Queen Street, Chesterville where family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Trinity United Church, Chesterville on Wednesday, October 30, at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at the Maple Ridge Cemetery.
