(Veteran WWII Radar Officer; Retired Bell Canada) Peacefully in hospital after a lengthy illness on Wednesday November 6, 2002 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Allenby). Dear father of David (Jean) of Nova Scotia, Ann Shier (John) of Ottawa and Laura Speakman of Edmonton. Loving grandfather of Karen Jost, Patty Reid, Frank Speakman, Joanna Speakman, Emily Slywchuk and Sara Slywchuk and 4 great-grandchildren. Brother of Gina Nicholls of Edmonton. Friends may assemble at McEvoy Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street on Saturday after 1 p.m. for a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. in the Chapel.
