A thirty-eight year veteran of the SQ, Beaconsfield and MUC Police Department, died peacefully at home in Lachine, on November 8, 2002 at the age of eighty-eight. Loving husband of the late Margaret Monaghan, loving father of Barbara and Bryan (Valerie) and grandfather of Aaron, Christian and Andrew. Brother of the late Rita Jenkevice and Nora Smith, survived by his brother Hugh and sister Shiela McDermott of California. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Montreal Association for the Blind Foundation, 7000 Sherbrooke St. West. Visitation at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, 1750 Notre-Dame, (18th Avenue) Lachine, on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday as of 9 a.m. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection of Our Lord Parish, 34th Avenue, Lachine.
