(nee Barkley) At the St. Vincent de Paul Providence Continuing Care Centre, Brockville, on Monday, November 11, 2002 at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Walter of 56 years. Sadly missed by her daughter Carol and her husband Rev. Bill Jay of Ottawa and grandsons Robert of Winnipeg and Peter of Montreal. Also survived by brothers Bruce Barkley and wife Lenora of Shanly, Keith Barkley and wife Lila and Lyle Barkley and wife Annie all of Inkerman and Ray Barkley of Brockville; sisters-in-law Muriel Barkley of Winchester, Jean York of Brockville, Muriel York of Spencerville, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends at the Marguerita Apartments in Brockville. Predeceased by brothers Murray Barkley and wife Jesse, Lester and Carl Barkley and sister-in-law Annabelle (wife of Ray Barkley). Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In celebration of Evelyn's life a ceremony will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. A reception will be held at the Marguerita Apartments following the interment. In remembrance, donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
