On Wednesday, November 20, 2002. Mary Josephine Heafey age 83 passed on to the spirit world. Beloved wife of Allan H. Heafey, Maniwaki Quebec. Cherished mother of daughter Gladys Mychasiw (Doug), Atikokan, Ontario and son John Owen Heafey (Caroline M. Happyjack), Ottawa, Ontario. Loving grandmother of 2 grandchildren (Lana, Calgary Alberta and Allan, Atikokan Ontario) and 2 great-grandchildren (Wayne and Allan Jr.). Dear sister of Robert Sawdo, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Predeceased by sister Lilly, Annie and brothers Lewis, Philip. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McConnery Funeral Home. Services will be held in Maniwaki, Quebec at St. Pats Church on Tuesday, November 26 at 10:30 a.m. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Odawa Native Friendship Center "Life Long Care Elders Program" or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
