O.B.E., C.M., V.R.D., May 29, 1915 - November 20, 2002 Member of the Order of Canada, Recipient - Queen's Jubilee Medal Passed away at home on Wednesday, November 20, 2002, surrounded by his family. Husband of the late June R. White and survived by his three children Martha, Paul (Judy) and Phyllis Loher. Brother of F. Wallis White. Grandfather to Kit and Jesse White and Cameron Loher. He graduated from Lisgar Collegiate in 1933 and immediately went to work for the British American Bank Note Company and became President in 1966 and retired in 1985 after 52 years of service. During the Second World War he was in active service with the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Navy from 1939 - 1946. He continued after the war with the Naval Reserve and retired as Captain. R.P. White served on the boards of several corporations and was very active in the Ottawa community. He is a former Chairman of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, the Ottawa Civic Hospital Foundation, Past Director of the Perley Hospital and the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund. He is also a Past President of the Royal Ottawa Golf Club, the Maganassippi Fish and Game Club. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hulse, Playfair & McGarry.
