(nee Gilbert) Peacefully after a courageous fight with cancer in hospital at Almonte, Ontario on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife for 54 years of George. Loving mother of Barry (Barbara) of Fredericton, Carole Ann Esnard (Winston) of Carleton Place, Heather Landry (Byron) of Orleans and James (Anita) of Fort McMurray. Dearest grandmother of John, Michael, Victoria, Elizabeth, Katie, Martin, Chelsea, Elissa and Tara. Survived by her sisters Alice Hodge and Eva McCartin and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the ALAN R. BARKER FUNERAL HOME 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place A service of remembrance will be held at Zion Memorial United Church, Carleton Place on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Reverend Blair Corcoran officiating. Private family inurnment at United Cemeteries. Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
