Peacefully, with his family by his side on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Estelle (nee Campbell). Father of Brian, Karen, Sandra and predeceased by Janice. Grandfather to Adam, Shannon and Lani. Son of the late John James Reid and Willo (nee Baird) of Carp, Ontario. Brother to Kenneth, Barry and predeceased by Claude, Donald, Gerald and Willis. Jack served his country in the Navy during the Battle of the Atlantic. During his career he was a managing partner with Nesbitt's Orange, Canada, a founder and managing director of Ottawa Cablevision and the First President of the Sodbuster Society. His community minded spirit and good humour will be missed by all. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Sunday, November 24th 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, November 25th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Martin's Anglican Church, 2120 Prince Charles (North of Carlingwood Mall) on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens.
