Suddenly and peacefully Ghazale Bitar passed away at her home November 30, 2002. She leaves behind her beloved family: her nephew John Shadeed, his wife Nadia and their three children Lydia, Rebecca and Jack. As well she is survived by her brother Karim Bitar, his wife Salma and their children, Mona, Walid and Raif. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her sister, nieces and nephews in Australia and the United States and all whose life she touched. At Ghazale's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held in Sts. Peter and Paul Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2002. Donations to Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 1161 North River Road, Ottawa, Ontario, would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home. The Ottawa Citizen, 02-12-2002
