Thomas Carlyle SPARLING

At the Helen Henderson Care Centre, Amherstview, Ontario, on November 30, 2002, in his 95th. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy Isobel Donaldson, his parents Thomas Sparling and Catherine Fisher Forrest and his four sisters Lola Caroline Prittie, Annie Frances Sparling, Alice Jean Hall and Kathleen Louise MacDonald. Father to Barbara Primrose (Rob) of Sydney, Australia, Don (Zdenka) of Brno, Czech Republic and Crom (Cathy) of Odessa, Ontario. Tom had 7 grandchildren, Cathy, Peter, Michael, Thomas, Don, Susan and Tobi and nine great-grandchildren. As Tom lived for most of his life in Ottawa, a Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., January 4, 2003 at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, 30 Cleary Ave., Ottawa. Special thanks to the staff of Helen Henderson Care Center for their support and care, particularly during the last few months of Tom's life.
