(nee Lane) age 90. Passed away peacefully at the Civic Hospital on Tuesday December 3, 2002. Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, J. Edouard Handy. Loving mother of Norman, Claudette (Harry), Marc (Lynne) Mississauga and Elaine (Rod) of Oakville. Lillian had a special place in her heart for her grandson Brad J. Landon who lived with her (Ging Ging) for all his formative years. Fondly remembered by her other grandchildren Steven Gilberg (Donna), Carla Johnson (Ken) of Whitby, Jonathan Gilberg (Margaret) of Oakville, Marc Gilberg (Katherine) of Vancouver, Matthew Handy (Stacey) of Oakville, and Benjamin Handy (Katie) of Mississauga and great grandchildren Jessica, Corey, Christian, Madeleine, Jeremy, Kiersten and Jonathan Marc. Predeceased by her sister Isabel (Orville) of California, and survived by Dora, George (Frances) and Bessie. Lillian was happy and active for decades with her bowling league and had fond memories of the women's bridge group. She will also greatly be missed by her great pal and canine companion Rumba. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. George's Church (Piccadilly Avenue).
