Peacefully, after a courageous battle, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at the age of 79. Predeceased by her parents: Eslie Gray and Gertrude Hummel. Loving sister of Shirley Tomka, of Ottawa, George Gray (Patricia) of Lansdowne and Earle Gray, of Kingston (deceased). Dear aunt of Danny, Stephen, Randy and Janice Tomka, Cathy Gray-Thompson, Lisa Gray, and Lori Louwman. Cherished great-aunt of Meghan and Ryan Tomka. Jean was a long-time employee of the Bank of Canada for more than 30 years. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt Avenue) on Monday December 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville.
