(nee Baker) Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, December 11, 2002 in her 89th year. Born in Wolford Twp on July 9, 1914. Loving wife of Arthur Moorhouse for 68 loving years. Dear mother of Donald (Helen) of Spencerville, Muriel Milne (Oscar) of Mountain and Allan (Mary Ellen) of Prescott. Survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by brother Harold Baker (Phyllis) of Saskatoon, sister Fern Bryan (Carl) of Mountain and sister-in-law Lillian Baker of Brockville. Predeceased by brothers Mervin and Arden Baker and sister Elsie Pelton. Vera was a Life Member of the United Church Women (UCW) of Winchester, faithful member of the Winchester United Church and a member of the Golden Years Society of Winchester. Resting at the Winchester Funeral Home, 505 Church Street, Winchester where family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Winchester United Church on Saturday, December 14 at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the South Gower Cemetery.
