Peacefully in hospital, Perth on Tuesday, December 17, 2002 J. Gordon McEwen in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Helen (Graham) McEwen, cherished father of Verna MacRae of Smiths Falls, Eileen (David) Saumure and Eric McEwen of Prestonvale and Lois McEwen of Toronto. Gordon will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Glenn, Kathy and Frank MacRae and Jodi Bennett, his 7 great-grandchildren, brother Roy (Jean) of Red Deer, Alberta, sister Edith (Tom) Hansen of Perth, his nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by brothers Donald (Margaret) and Bob (Kaye) McEwen. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth, Thursday, December 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Prestonvale Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to the Memorial Funds of either St. Andrew's United Church, Lanark or Prestonvale Cemetery would be appreciated. The Ottawa Citizen, 19-12-2002
