Alva Mary RUSENSTROM

(nee Rusenstrom) Formerly of Maniwaki, PQ, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2002, in her 92nd year, at her residence. Alva was the wife of the late Robert Vernon Bratton. Cherished mother of Elizabeth Gorman (David), Catherine Smith (Ron Dodge) and Nancy Birchard (Kris). Beloved Granny to Brent, Janet, Susan, Desmond, Wendy, Heather and Bennett and Granny Alva to Cody, Tyler, Matthew and Erin. She is survived by a brother Thomas Rusenstrom and was predeceased by sisters Pearl, Lillian and Emily and brothers Elmer and Nobel. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Alva has been a role model for so many people in her constant quest for knowledge and her zest for life. May she now rest in peace, free from pain. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Saturday, December 21st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, December 23, 2002, time to be confirmed.
