On Friday, December 20, 2002 at age 67. Loving husband for 40 years of Ingrid "Ibby" (nee Brinker). Cherished father of Carol (James Falle). Beloved Opa of Alyssa and Shelby. Also survived by his brother Nelson (Donna) of British Columbia and sister-in-law Helga (Gunter Pfau) of West Germany. Bruce was, "Mr. Fix-it" to his neighbours and friends, a caregiver to stray animals and an avid gardener. He was also a proud member of the Ottawa Parrot Club and the Ottawa Stetson Model Airplane Flying Club. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday, December 27, 2002 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until Funeral Service in the Chapel at 7 p.m. Cremation with inurnment at Christ Church Cathedral Columbarium at a later date. The family would like to thank our wonderful friend, Yvonne Bateman, who never left our side. Her friendship and devotion gave us the strength we needed during our difficult time. Special thanks also to Anna and Isabelle, the nurses at the Civic Hospital ICU.
