Marjorie Isobel CAREY

(Carey) On December 20, 2002, at the Kingston General Hospital in her 78th year after a courageous struggle with cancer. Marjorie is survived by her daughter Linda Grant and husband Walter Kohlberger, grandson Robert Grant Scott and daughter-in-law Cynthia Whalen-Grant. Marjorie is also survived by her brother Earl (Sunny) Carey and wife Isabel, sister Betty Carson and husband Harold, brother Lorne Carey and Betty Stuffles, sister Lorna Lancaster and husband Donald and brother Bruce (Buddy) Carey and wife Donna. Marjorie is survived by her sister-in-law Muriel Thompson and husband Gerald. Marjorie is survived by her treasured friends Wenda Lyons, Lucille Brezee and Evie Lewis along with many other friends in her Westport/Newboro community. Marjorie is predeceased by her husband Erland H. Grant, her husband Victor Taylor and her son Larry Colin Grant. Although Marjorie was born and raised in Ottawa, she long considered Newboro and Westport her home. She will be interred in St. Mary's Cemetery, Newboro beside her beloved husband Victor. Marjorie's family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care she received from the doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and housekeeping staff of Davies 5 at the Kingston General Hospital. She left this world wrapped in the love of family, friends and her community, supported by the faith of her church and the promise of a more peaceful world beyond. Friends will be received at Lyons Funeral Home, Westport on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be conducted Monday, December 23, 11:00 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, Westport.
