Bernice Bailey Eyvindson, passed away peacefully in her 93rd year on Monday, December 23, 2002 at Unitarian House, Ottawa. Predeceased by her loving husbands Oli Eyvindson and Julius Crawford. Survived by daughter Gail Brooman (Ronald), grandsons Kenneth, Jeffrey and John Brooman, daughter Norma (John Illingworth), sons, Jack Crawford (Kim), James Crawford (Helen) and by Marjorie Smith (Gordon), Irene Crawford and Hope Crawford, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Raised on the Portage Plains, Manitoba and became a school teacher. Later long-time employee of the Dominion Observatory and National Research Council. Bunny enjoyed her retirement years playing bridge, attending theatre, travelling and 18 years volunteering for the Ottawa Civic Hospital. We wish to thank the very caring staff at Unitarian House. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Tuesday, December 31 after 10 a.m. until a Service of Remembrance in the Chapel at 11 a.m. If desired, a memorial donation to Unitarian House, 20 Cleary Avenue, Ottawa ON would be deeply appreciated.
