February 22, 1957-December 26, 2002 Peacefully at home with family after a courageous battle with a brain tumour. Husband and best friend of Carole Sutherland for over 21 years. Beloved son of Hugh and Joan Glynn. Dear brother of Sheryl Boggs (Bill) and Kelly Glynn (Kevin Reynolds). Special uncle of Mark and Amanda. Cherished son-in-law of Bob and Olly Sutherland. Best friend and brother-in-law of Rosalie and Tim Carroll. Special "Uncle Monk" of Marc and Jeff. Brother-in-law of Laurel and Laird McLean. Uncle of Lindsay and Rosalie. Dear nephew of Alan and Muriel Penfold. Michael's strength, dignity and sense of humour throughout his battle were an inspiration to all of us. Friends may call at the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home & Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 1940 Saunderson Drive, Ottawa on Monday morning, December 30th at 11 o'clock. Cremation to follow. In remembrance, donations to the Brain Tumour Society, the Union Mission or the Perley-Rideau Veteran's Home would be most appreciated by Michael's family.
