James Philip COUSENS

Suddenly on December 28, 2002 at Toronto in his 67th year. Born in Lachute, P.Q., son of the late Rev. Dr. Henry and Mabel Cousens. Beloved husband of Sylvia Milne (nee Swinden). Loving father of Jane (John), Toronto, Laura, St. Catharines and John, Toronto (children of Belva Stanford, Brockville). Stepfather of Doug (Janice) Milne, New Jersey, and Catherine Milne, Toronto. Dear grandfather of James Alexander, Joshua, Mayah and MacGregor and special uncle of many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Henry, Ottawa, Ruth Jackson, St. Louis, MO, John (Joy), Smiths Falls and Donald (Aline), Markham. Jim was a deeply caring family man and an accomplished sailor at the National Yacht Club. He was a consummate human resources professional and a consultant around the world and in southern Ontario. He took great joy in helping others grow strong and reach their full potential and valued his role as mentor to many, many people. The family especially want to thank Dr. Joanne Bargman of the Toronto General Hospital for years of expert caring and deep concern. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, Toronto from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, December 30th and one hour prior to the service. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at one o'clock, followed by cremation.
