DENNIE, Cyril Alexander "Peter" In loving memory of Cyril Alexander "Peter" Dennie, 77 years of Capreol who passed away Friday, September 13th, 2002 at his residence. He was born in Capreol and married Mary T. (Lepki) in 1947 in Capreol. A well known and liked Capreol resident Peter had been a yardmaster at the CNR retiring in 1979 with over 30 years service. A devout Roman Catholic he attended Our Lady of Peace Church. He lived the lessons taught by Jesus on daily basis helping his neighbours and caring for those in need. A proud Canadian he served oversea during WWII with the RCAF and he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #179 Capreol. A real people person Peter was always helping others from youth to seniors. He was a steadfast volunteer in organizing special events and projects. He had a great appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, curling and fishing. Peter had a wonderful affinity for music whether singing or dancing. The light of his life will be well remembered in Capreol as the light of his soul is reunited with his wife in heaven. Beloved husband of Mary T. (Lepki) Dennie predeceased 1999. Loving father and best friend of Lynn of Toronto. Son of Maxwell and Mabel Dennie both predeceased. Dear brother of Hazel (Menzies) Bean of Mattawa, Helen Hill of Barrie, Cecil (wife Lena) of Orillia and the late Vicky Grexton, Frank, Clifford and Joe Dennie all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer. (Friends may call 3-5; 7-9 p.m. Monday). No visitation Tuesday. Prayers 4:45 p.m. Monday. Memorial Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol, Tuesday, September 17th, 2002 at 10 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
