PILON, Rita (Nee Remy) In loving memory of Rita Pilon (nee Remy), 75 years of Lively who passed away Sunday morning, September 15th, 2002 at the SRH - Laurentian Site. She married William "Bill" Pilon in 1947 in Sudbury. Rita grewup in Sudbury moving to Creighton after she was married. A devout Roman Catholic she belonged to St. Pius X Church and the parish CWL. Rita was not only an impressive person she was an inspiring person and she led by example in selfless acts and gestures of kindness. Her good wit and wisdom was appreciated by all who knew her. She was a keen card player and in healthier times an avid gardener. She was devoted to her loving family. The highlight each year in Rita’s house was her wonderful Christmas dinner which was prepared with much love and delicious recipes. Beloved wife of William "Bill" Pilon predeceased 1997. Loving mother of Richard (friend Barb) and Veronica (husband Gary Prowse) both of Lively, Robert "Bobby" (wife Gisele) of Sudbury, Victor (wife Marie) of Hamilton and Mary (husband Steven Laabs) of Espanola. Dear mother-in-law of Heather of Lively. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Shayne, Shannon, Steven, Daryl, Billy, Chad, Julie, Cory, Mark, Tanner and Jessica; great grandchildren Montana, Riley, Raya, and Madison. Dear daughter of John and Mary Remy predeceased. Dear sister of Pauline Remy of Quebec, Leon Remy of Sudbury and the late Alex D’Aoust, Lorraine Hillier, Annette Gagne, Victor Remy, Estelle Paul, Claire Marcoux and Marie Remy all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Pius X Church, Lively, Tuesday, September 17th, 2002 at 11 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Prayers 7:30 p.m. Monday.
