ALBRECHTAS, Fernando In loving memory of Fernando Albrechtas, 63 years, who passed away Wednesday morning, September 25, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. He was born in Kaunas, Lithuania and married Audrey (Poderys) in Sudbury. Fernando grew up in the London area settling in Sudbury in 1959. He was a Roman Catholic. A respected leader in the workplace, he was a general foreman at Frood-Stobie Mine having 30 years at INCO, retiring in 1991. A gifted woodworker, his carvings were admired and treasured by many. He enjoyed cooking (especially pies) and loved music. He was an accomplished Mr. Fix-It and builder who was always quick to help others. He had a great appreciation of the outdoors. Always a sociable person, he generously shared his wonderful sense of humour with relatives and friends. Fernando had a tremendous committment to family and faithfully kept in touch with them via regular telephone conversations. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His life’s motto will be remembered by many - "the difficult we do immediately; the impossible may take a little longer." Beloved husband of Audrey (Poderys) Albrechtas of Sudbury. Loving father of Danny of Val Caron, Kathy (husband John Gallien) and Lucia (husband Harry Taskinen) both of Sudbury, and Marcus (fiancee Rosemary) of Kitchener. Cherished grandfather of Chris, Carly, Devon, and Drew. Dear son of Jouzas and Jadvyga Albrechtas predeceased. Dear brother of Irene Dragunevicius (husband John), Valerie Pumputis (husband Don) and Edmund (wife Noreen) all of London, Don (wife Bonnie) of Melbourne, Joe (wife Linda) of North Bay, Ausra "Dawn" (husband Guy Janveaux) of London and Albert predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his canine buddies Peppy and Trouble. Resting at THE JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Stanislaus Church, Copper Cliff Friday, September 27, 2002 at 10 am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Prayers 8 pm Thursday. Donations to the Heart and Soul Cancer Services or charity of your choice would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 pm Thursday. No visitation Friday). 9/26/2002- ID881919 - Sudbury Star
