(nee Goldberg). Born December 6, 1913 in Montreal. Died November 22, 2002, In Woodland Hills, California, of a stroke. Buried in Mission Hills, California, on November 26. Daughter of Jessie and Joseph Goldberg. Married for forty-eight loving years to the late Joseph Amber. Survived by daughters Barbara Tokaji (Joe) and Selene Amber of Southern California and son Arnold Amber (Phyllis) of Toronto, all of whom will greatly miss her. Pre-deceased by her daughter Shirley Federman. Also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Although she spent much of her life in California, Bella kept in close contact with her large, extended family in Montreal. She was particularly close to her devoted brother and sister-in-law Moe and Toba Goldberg (Moe passed away in 2001). Bella is also survived by her brother Abie Goldberg and many nieces, a nephew, and other relatives in the Montreal area. In addition to providing unwavering guidance and strength for her immediate family, Bella Amber was involved in extensive volunteer and charity work until she suffered the first of a series of strokes in 1998. She was a selfless volunteer for the Camarillo Health District, the City of Hope and other charities in California. She was particularly honoured for her work with senior citizens.
