Peacefully, in Ste. Agathe, on Friday, December 27, 2002 at the age of eighty-seven. Beloved husband of the late Madeleine McCrae and brother of the late Ruby Rudel. Devoted and loving father of Dinah Ouderkirk, Catherine (Michel) Davey-Smyth, Christine (Nik) Zarifis of Burlington, and Robyn (Terry) Houghton of Kingston. He will be fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren, James (Carmella D'Amico) and Carly Ouderkirk, Adrienne and Elena Zarifis, Madeleine Davey-Smyth and Claire, Cody and Taylor Houghton. He was an avid sportsman throughout his life and will be sadly missed and remembered fondly by his family and many friends both in the Laurentians and in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Friends are welcome to join the family for funeral services to be held on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Ste. Adele Protestant Church, chemin du Chanteclerc. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Salon Funeraire Guay Inc., 955 rue Grignon, Ste-Adele.
