(nee Hoy) Peacefully on Sunday, 29 December 2002, in Edmonton, at the age of 89 years, Beryl Smith, originally of Vernon, Ontario, passed away. Predeceased by her dear husband, Alexander Leslie Smith and daughter Wilma Ayers of Ottawa, five brothers and four sisters. Daughter of the late Andrew Hoy and the late Armandlia Docksteader. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Melva Turnbull, grandchildren Linda, Stephen, John and Diane of Ottawa and Robert of Victoria, B.C. Interment was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Edmonton.
