STONE, Ingress May 14, 1918 to May 5, 2002. Ingress Stone a resident of Kenora, Ontario, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2002 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Born in England on May 14, 1918, Ingress moved to Sault Ste. Marie to raise her family and worked at the Tourist Information Center. She moved to Kenora in 1967 and married Elmer Stone. Ingress enjoyed reading, bowling and bridge at the Seniors Centre. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her sense of humour and straightforward manner. She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands Doug Irvine and Elmer Stone, daughter Marsha Whiddon and sister Audrey White, as well as sister-in-law Joyce (Mack) Nicholson, Wilf Hussey and Tom Wardlaw. Ingress will be sadly missed by her sons Tom (Sheila) and Paul (Carol) Irvine of Sault Ste. Marie, Bob Stone of Pittsburgh and Jim of North Bay, son-in-law Albert Whiddon of Kenora, sisters June (Jim) Campbell, Victoria Wardlaw, Carol (Ron) Andrews, brother Chuck (Diane) Glover all of Toronto, as well as sister-in-laws Madeline (Dave) Waldie and Marg Hussey, along with her grandchildren and her many friends and relatives. The family wishes to thank Dr. Sawatzky and the staff of 2nd Floor for their concern and compassion shown during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Fund, 21 Sylvan Street, Kenora, Ontario, P9N3W7 in her memory.
