Eric Walter Greer, 70 Eric Walter Greer, a resident of RR 5 Spencerville who enjoyed working in the garage and helping his sons with their homes, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at Brockville General Hospital. He was 70. He was born Nov. 15, 1932 at Bishops Mills, Ontario, the son of Wellington Greer and Eleanor Miess. He married Susie Greer (nee Konkus), April 25, 1953 in Prescott. He is survived by his wife Susie; sons Carl (wife Marilyn), Gerry and Kevin (wife Sherri); grandchildren Julie, Jennie, Jeff, Cory, Taylor, Jordan, Derick, Larry and Randi; great grandchildren Kasy and Mathew; and brothers Floyd, Roy and Earl. Mr. Greer was predeceased by his parents; sisters Dorothy Gardiner and Grace Baker, and by brother Gordon Greer. He had been employed as a machine operator at RCA in Prescott. Visitation was held at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott, Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, where the funeral was held in the chapel Dec. 30 at 11 am. Rev. Blair Paterson officiated. A committal service followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. The pallbearers were Larry Greer, Derick Greer, Jeffery Greer, Cory Summers, Jeff Baker and Allan Greer. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
