PETER THOMAS VENNE Peter Thomas Venne passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2002 in his 78th year. He was the beloved husband of Leona O’Reilly for 56 years; loving father of Gail and her husband, John Acker, and the late Kevin; and loved grandfather of Tina and Tracey. He also is survived by his great-grandson, Kevin; and was the dear brother of four sisters and four brothers. Peter was retired from CN Railway with more than 25 years of service. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 551 in Waterdown and the Navy Club of Burlington. The family received friends at the Trustcott, Brown & Dwyer Funeral Chapel, 1309 King St. E., on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was in the chapel on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 at 11 a.m., with interment in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
