John F. Quinn (Jack) Of Howe Island, Ontario, passed away at the Kingston General Hospital on July 1, 2002. He was 65. Jack was born in Brewers Mills, Ontario, the son of the late Frank and Loretta Quinn, and lived in the Kingston area all his life. Jack retired 5 years ago. He was a Frontenac County Ferry Operator and Fire Chief of Howe Island Fire Department. Jack was an active member of the Howe Island Fire and Rescue. He is survived by his wife Anne Jillian Amo, his children Elaine Norris, Bernie Quinn, Brenda Vandersheer, Dan Quinn, Mike Quinn, Teresa Prior, Larry Quinn and Pat Quinn, and numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild. Jack was predeceased by an infant son and his parents. The funeral was held on July 3, 2002. Father R.J. Flurey officiated. Pallbearers were Mike Garrah, Pat Norris, Steve Norris, Jack Amo, Jim McReynolds, Bill Dixon and honorary pallbearers Christian Prior and Bradley Quinn.
